Have you filled out your Member Profile?
The response has already been outstanding, but we need to have a majority of members represented by the end of the year, in order to better serve you. There are many reasons why this is important.
Plus, you will be entered into a drawing to receive one of two iPads!

Take the ICI Challenge

Are you going on sabbatical or retired and looking for an opportunity to teach abroad? Are you between academic appointments and ready to work with students from a different cultural base on biblical studies in a context that is new to you and, therefore, exciting? Do you have a passion for fostering biblical studies globally? If you can answer “yes” to any of these questions, the International Cooperation Initiative (ICI) has a place for you. On the SBL web site, you can view a list of institutions that are inviting participation from scholars in online and/or onsite teaching and mentoring. Take the challenge and make a contact! You may discover a rewarding and gratifying opportunity. Jonathan Lawrence took the challenge and traveled to Fiji; read about his experience here.

See the website for the list of institutions and more information on the scholarly exchange program.
