SBL Member wins Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Award

The American Council of Learned Societies announced the results of the 2014-2015 Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship competition. Congratulations to SBL member Megan Johanna Daniels (Classics, Stanford University). She won one of the 70 awards, which include a $30,000 stipend plus up to $8,000 for research and university fees, to advanced graduate students in their final year of dissertation writing. Fellows from 29 universities and nearly 20 fields of humanistic study were selected from a pool of close to 1,000 applicants through a rigorous, multi-stage peer review process.
