Position or Title:Associate or Full Professor in Hebrew Bible

Description:Brite Divinity School, related to Texas Christian University, invites applications for two tenured positions in Hebrew Bible. Level of appointment for each position is at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The Ph.D. or equivalent is required. Demonstrated competence in teaching, scholarly research, and significant publication record is expected. Teaching load is four courses per year at Masters (including introductory levels) and Doctoral levels. Area of specialization is open. Teaching competencies should include the ability to reflect theologically on texts. Competencies are needed in theoretical and methodological engagement with critical interdisciplinary theories such as postcolonial, feminist, gender, queer, postmodern, and racial/cultural studies. Commitment to mentoring students, especially in PhD programs, is expected.
