Description:
Northeastern Seminary at Roberts Wesleyan College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in New Testament, beginning fall 2013. While primary competence should be in the New Testament (including second temple Judaism), applicants should be able to teach in both testaments as needed. Ideally, candidates should also have an auxiliary competence in theology and/or ministry, and be strongly committed to a vocation of teaching and scholarship. Applicants who have completed the Ph.D. or comparable degree in biblical studies and have demonstrated competence or promise in classroom instruction and scholarly research are strongly preferred; outstanding late-stage ABD applications will be considered. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Northeastern Seminary is a fully-accredited, multi-denominational seminary offering M.A., M.Div., and D.Min. degrees. The Seminary encourages applications from persons who would bring diversity to the faculty. Application materials, including a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and evaluations of teaching (if available), should be submitted electronically by December 31, 2012 to Dr. Douglas Cullum, Academic Vice President and Dean at FacultySearch@nes.edu. Three confidential letters of recommendation should also be submitted electronically or mailed to the dean at Northeastern Seminary, 2265 Westside Drive, Rochester, NY 14624. Preliminary interviews will be conducted at the SBL/AAR Meeting, November 17-20, 2012. www.nes.edu.
