Faculty Position Notice
Job Description
Covenant Theological Seminary invites applications and nominations for a full time faculty appointment at the level of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor of World Mission. Primary instructional responsibilities in the M.Div. and the MARC (Master of Arts in Religion and Cultures) degree programs will focus on ministry in the context of globalization, urbanization and religious pluralism. Along with an excellent teaching record, we seek a missiologist who will embrace and advance the purpose and vision of the institution. This will include a willingness to invest in students, develop international partnerships for global theological education, lead international trips with students, and expand and integrate a global perspective throughout the curriculum.
Requirements
The qualified candidate will have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent in missiology from an accredited institution (or be ABD); have substantial cross-cultural ministry experience; demonstrate strong pastoral experience and skills; show evidence of teaching experience or promise of excellence in the classroom; and demonstrate ability in or potential for scholarship. Candidates must also be ordained (or ordainable) in the Presbyterian Church in America.
