Description:
Qualified women and men are invited to apply for a full-time Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellowship in New Testament. The purpose of this Teaching Fellowship is to provide instruction within a strong biblical studies program grounded in the biblical languages at both Master of Divinity and Ph.D. levels. The successful candidate will provide instruction in Greek, as well as other courses appropriate to the curriculum. The appointee will also have the opportunity to develop skills in teaching, course planning and syllabus design within the well-resourced environment of Princeton Theological Seminary, a graduate theological school in the Reformed tradition that embraces the breadth of communions represented in the worldwide church. The successful candidate will only have responsibilities for teaching courses. Free of faculty committee work or departmental responsibilities she or he will be supported by an exceptional theological library, access to the library of Princeton University, a full range of teaching resources, and a collegial biblical faculty. Responsibilities The successful candidate will teach a total of five courses during the academic year. The area of specialization within New Testament studies is open, although the ability to teach both introductory and advanced Greek is desirable. The New Testament faculty will be available for consultation on pedagogy, course development, and syllabus design. Qualifications Completion of the Ph.D. or equivalent, or a letter from the Academic Dean of the degree-conferring institution to confirm that the degree will be awarded by the time the fellowship commences. Term of Appointment This is a fixed term one-year appointment. The contract year begins July 1, 2013. Application Deadline Friday, March 22, 2013.
