Registration
You do not have to be registered as an Annual Meetings attendee to conduct interviews at the Employment Center. Please note though that you will need to be registered for the 2012 Annual Meetings if you intend to partake in any of the other activities of the Annual Meetings; i.e., Exhibit Hall, sessions, hotel room block, etc. If you would like to register for the Annual Meetings, please click here to register.

Employment Center employer preregistration opens on August 1, 2012, and closes on October 24, 2012. After that date, you may register onsite at the Employment Center during our hours of operation (you must bring two hard copies of your job listing with you). If you register onsite, you will be required to pay the onsite registration fee (see above) and also list your ad on Employment Listings (available here and here) for at least four weeks as per the requirements for participation with the Employment Center.

Employment Center registration closed October 24. You may register onsite at the Employment Center during our hours of operation (you must bring two hard copies of your job listing with you).

Only once you have registered as an employer for the Employment Center will you be able to gain access to the Candidate CV Submission and Review System.

Employment Listings
To complete employer registration, you must submit a job ad here. The option to register will appear in the job ad submission process as of August 1, 2012. Once you have completed this process, your ad will appear here with an icon indicating that the position is registered for the Employment Center. Employer registration enables you to view the credentials of SBL and AAR members who have registered as Employment Center candidates. Candidates can also view your jobs and make inquiries directly to you.

CV Submission and Review System
The CV Submission and Review System is scheduled to open August 15, 2012. If you have registered as an employer before that date, then you will receive instructions on how to access the system via e-mail on August 15, 2012. If you register as an employer for the Employment Center after the CV Submission and Review system has opened, then you will receive instructions on how to access the system via e-mail within 48 business hours of registering for the Employment Center. You will be able to access the system at any time between August 15, 2012 and February 15, 2013 once you receive your access instructions. You will be able to share your access instructions with other members of your search committee team. CVs will be organized by both a primary and secondary classification and will be accessible by both classifications and candidates’ names.

Message Center
Employers will be able to communicate onsite at the Employment Center with candidates via the Message Center. The Message Center uses message cards and a system of drop boxes to facilitate confidential communication between employers and candidates. Both the employers and candidates will receive an ID number prior to arriving onsite.

Private Interview Rooms
Reservation of booths and private interview rooms (PIR) happens when you submit a job ad. The cost of booth space is included in employer registration; PIR space is available at additional cost. Employers must be registered for the Employment Center in order to register for a PIR.

Employers who wish to arrange for a PIR in addition to semi-private booth space in the Interview Hall may request access to this limited space during preregistration. PIRs are available for three-hour sessions at an additional fee. This year, PIRs will be available in both the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place and Chicago Hilton Hotels. The time slots for 2012 are as follows:

Saturday, November 17

8:00 AM – 11:00 AM ($115)

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM ($115)

4:00 PM – 7:00 PM ($115)

Sunday, November 18

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM ($115)

8:00 AM – 11:00 AM ($115)

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM ($115)

In early November, all employers who have reserved PIRs will receive an e-mail with instructions regarding the use of the room, including instructions to distribute to interviewees.
