J. Alan Groves passed away February 5 at the age of 54 in Philadelphia.

Since 1983 he served as director and then executive director of the Westminster Hebrew Institute, a project founded under his leadership, and recently renamed by the Board and faculty of Westminster Seminary as the J. Alan Groves Center for Advanced Biblical Research.
