Intersectional Feminism(s)

Program Unit Type: Section
Accepting Papers? Yes

Call For Papers: This unit will host three open sessions. The first section welcomes short papers on the use of biblical texts in feminist social praxis engaging the question of how religious texts are used in feminist praxis in the widest possible variety of contexts. The papers, 10-15 minutes in length, are followed by a 15-minute panel discussion meant to stimulate discussion of the state of feminist scholarship today. The second and third section is open to papers 20-25 minutes in length addressing contemporary issues such as the climate crisis, armed conflict, racial and gender discrimination, trafficking and migration. One section is reserved for papers specifically addressing feminism from a South African perspective.
