The Semantics of the Term "Logos" in the Qur'an and the New Testament

co-author Fatemeh Ghorbani One of the controversial issues among Christian scholars and scholars of Islam is the semantics of the term "word" used commonly in the Qur'an and the New Testament, as various and sometimes similar meanings of logos are found in these two books. This paper describes the semantic dimensions of logos in the Bible by using a descriptive-analytical method, and also uses a constructive semantics method to explain the semantic network of logos in the Qur'an. Logos is presented in the New Testament in terms such as Christ, command and message of God, as well as the essence of the Lord. In the Qur'an, on the other hand, different meanings of the term are apparent.
