Chris Keith's article "Applying for Doctoral Work When You're from a Small School" was both inspiring and informing. Chris's article relieved some of my concern of not being considered a strong doctoral candidate simply because of the small university I attend.  In addition the article provided me a few best practices for how and when to begin my application process as well as how to acquire more information about the faculty and curriculum of University of Edinburgh.

I recently completed my fist year of MDIV.course work at Shaw University Divinity School in Raleigh, NC (USA). I am expected to graduate in Spring 2010 (90 credit hours) and I have BIG aspirations for pursuing my doctoral studies at University of Edinburgh. I was inspired to attend the University of Edinburgh by Dr. J. Deotis Roberts, a former student there (Ph.D. 1957) and former professor and college minister of Shaw University Divinity School.
