Description:
UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI Department of Philosophy and Religion invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure-track Instructor of Religion position with possibility of renewal for subsequent years. This position is housed in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at the Oxford Campus, but teaching responsibilities are located at the DeSoto regional campus in Southaven, MS, just south of Memphis, Tennessee. A successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in hand or be ABD when the position begins in August 2013. Candidates must be able to teach courses in Biblical Studies, including Introduction to the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible and Introduction to the New Testament. Teaching load is 3/3 at the undergraduate level. Review of applications begins immediately and the position will remain open until an adequate applicant pool is reached.
