Description:
Qualified candidates are invited to apply for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in New Testament within the Department of Biblical Studies at Princeton Theological Seminary, a seminary in the Reformed theological tradition. Review of applications in this expedited search will begin on March 15. Employment will begin on July 1, 2013. The person selected for this position is expected to teach students preparing for Christian ministry in its various forms, and have academic training and experience appropriate for teaching New Testament at the graduate theological level. This normally entails an M.Div. or its equivalent from an accredited theological school and a Ph.D. in New Testament studies. The appointee will participate in all degree programs of the Seminary (M.Div., M.A., Th.M., and Ph.D.), sharing in responsibility for required courses and offering elective courses that conform to the mission of the seminary and the needs of the department as well as the personal research interests of the appointee. The full range of duties expected of a faculty member at Princeton Theological Seminary includes research and teaching, service on faculty committees, participation in faculty and departmental meetings and programs, advisement of students, and active participation in the life and work of the school.
