LGBTQ+ Task Force

Council’s charge to the LGBTQ+ Task Force is to
  • identify how SBL can best support LGBTQ+ scholars and scholarship;
  • communicate regularly with the ED; and
  • provide a report including recommendations within two years of the Task Force’s constitution, if possible by the April 2021 Council meeting.
Recommendations might include policies, practices, and programs to assure the full participation of LGBTQ+ persons in SBL and their contribution to teaching, research, and scholarship, as well as the advancement of the discipline.
Members of this committee serve a three-year term, renewable for a second term.
