Call For Papers: Crossing Borders: Organizing Women Scholars in Europe and the U.S. In this session, sponsored by the Committee for the Status of Women in the Profession, we will continue the conversation started in Rome, where panelists engage in a U.S.-Europe dialogue. They shared their experiences of working as women scholars in the field of biblical studies and discussed the importance of networks for women scholars. In particular, the discussion was about organizing women in different types of networks, such as the CSWP: what is happening? How effective in changing our situations, or the field, is getting women scholars together? Can Europeans and Americans work together? We will be inviting some speakers, but encourage scholars who have a background from Eastern Europe or are currently working in an Eastern European country to contribute. On the occasion of the meeting being held in Tartu, Estonia, we are interested in hearing from you, and encourage you to contact the unit chairs.
