The following links relate to a partial transcription of the Freer manuscript of Paul (Gregory-Aland I 016). They demonstrate use of the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) recommendations and XML-related technology to present the text of a biblical manuscript on the World Wide Web.

U16.xml
A TEI-conformant XML transcription of the the Epistle to the Hebrews in the Washington Codex of the Pauline Epistles.
U16.html
An HTML rendition produced by applying an XSL transform (U16.xsl) to the XML transcription. The result is an HTML file that is rendered according to instructions supplied in a stylesheet (U16.css).
U16.xsl
An XSL transform for converting the XML transcription to an HTML file.
U16.css
A CSS stylesheet that provides a browser with instructions on how to render the HTML file.
