The Society publishes books of scholarly excellence and international interest. Since 2002, all new SBL titles have been published simultaneously in paperback editions by the Society itself and in hardback editions by Brill Academic Publishers.

In addition to our own titles, SBL proudly distributes publications from three distinguished publishers in the world of biblical studies. As the authorized North American distributor for books published by Sheffield Phoenix Press (SPP), a relatively young publishing house with a rich publishing pedigree, SBL provides the SPP list of titles with reduced shipping costs and accelerated delivery times. In addition, SBL is proud to serve as the distributor for the prestigious Brown Judaic Studies Monograph Series (BJS), and Reuben J. Swanson's New Testament Greek Manuscript Series (NTGM) published by William Carey International University Press. All these titles are available through the SBL Online Store.
